WEERAN ANGUS ON THE MOVE!

Weeran has carefully planned, and executed, a big leap in the professionalism and consistency of their Seedstock which will be on offer to their client base.  “We believe we are a Seedstock producer on the rise, but we will let you be the judge”, said Weeran Principal Alec Moore.  As a result of this new program, we are now offering more bulls, with 70 bulls to go up for auction on Wednesday 26th February at 4pm……….  PLEASE NOTE NEW SALE DATE AND SALE TIME!  Another offering will also be available in the Spring at the annual September sale.

Bulls on offer are sired by Franklin 619, Ayrvale Bartel E7, Lawson’s Nadal E398, Barwidgee JayW 9616, Adrossan D19, Dunoon Everything E499,  TeMania Africa A217, Silveiras Total M811, and B/R Future Direction 4268.  Other sire lines include Weeran Fusion F3 and Weeran Fair Dinkum F10.

The performance driven approach we have conducted in our herd, has the cream rising to the surface.  Calves by Franklin, JayW, Bartel E7 and Nadal E398 have the WOW factor, both on paper and to the cattleman’s eye.  It is very exciting times for Weeran Angus.

Some of the highlight bulls on offer include, Weeran Heinz H308, a top grading bull by Franklin 619.  Ass kicking numbers in a very attractive body type. With a growth curve of 5.2 for birth to 121 for 600 day, with a B3 index of 131!  The Franklin cattle are really starting to combine well with high indexing cattle like Dinky-Di. The trick with breeding high indexing cattle is not to lose vigour & type. Heinz is a very good example.

Weeran Hurley H591 is the first Barwidgee Jay W bull to be sold at Weeran.  He is right up in the stirrups for growth and excellent body type. “I have a lot of faith in this sire line to perform in the paddock which is what counts in the end”, said Alec.  With a birthweight of 6.6 to 118 for 600 day growth and EMA of 5.4.  He is a tall, deep, long bodied bull.

Weeran Heraklion H344, an Ayrvale Bartel E7 son, really ticks the performance driven targets of the modern industry.  Great growth curve of 3.6 to 97 with an EMA of 8.7, IMF 2.7 and B3 index of 140!  This bull gives the versatility to be used anywhere in the herd. These bulls are excellent examples of what is on offer on the 26th.  The Weeran Team is very excited about this forthcoming sale!

We extend an invitation to attend our beef week field day on Wednesday 5th February, followed by our annual bull sale on Wednesday 26th February at the new time of 4pm.  Starting price will be $2,500 for all bulls on offer.  Afternoon tea will be served prior to the sale, and then we hope you will join us after the sale for a drink and bite to eat.

We look forward to welcoming you to Weeran.
