51 Bull Sales for Weeran Angus
This sale marks the 51st Bull Sale for Weeran Angus, and 50 years of membership of Angus Australia. The Weeran team has always strived to present leading industry genetics, taking all opportunities to keep moving the program forward, embracing change, technology and science that comes with the Seedstock Industry, and this is still true to this day. As Simone Bond said “be true to yourself and what your program is”, and that is exactly what we have done, year in and year out, and here we are 51 sales later! Quite an achievement!
Weeran has invested in industry leading genetics using high performance ai sires. For our forthcoming Spring bull sale, we have a powerful run of sale bulls by Murdeduke Quarterback, Chiltern Park Moe, Lawsons Momentous M518, Lawsons Momentum Q85, Witherswood Bronc, Musgrave Exclusive and Sydgen Enhance.
Quarterback is a bull which caught the eye of a great number of people in the industry for his outstanding phenotype and performance profile. If you need to advance carcase quality and calving ease then Quarterback will tick the box. Moe is a tried and proven calving ease sire which we used extensively to double down on trouble free calving coupled with sound structure and temperament. He is well proven and has delivered excellent results in these areas for the Weeran program. Momentous needs no introduction with very good structure and an outstanding carcase profile. Bronc has a very balanced ebv graph for calving ease, growth, carcase, indexing and structure and ticking a lot of boxes in the Weeran program. Bronc sired the top price bull from our 2023 Autumn Bull Sale! Exclusive and Enhance have both been highlights in previous sales for their consistent breeding and phenotype.
These sires are giving us elite Carcase values, good growth and fertility, with calving ease. With this comes excellent temperament. We are constantly hearing from clients what quiet cattle the Weeran Angus program produces – both bulls and breeders! Something we are very proud of.
60 Bulls will be offered on Tuesday 5th September at 1pm on property at Byaduk. Following the successful introduction of online bidding with Elite Livestock Auctions, we will continue to run the live simulcast with Elite.
