An upcoming Field Day will be all about the business of farming at Weeran Angus, Byaduk, south of Hamilton on Wednesday 7th September at 10am.
National seed business, Upper Murray Seeds, and specialist seedstock operation Weeran Angus joined forces at Sheepvention earlier in August. The two business entities are again teaming up for a combined field day showcasing the Upper Murray Seeds demonstration site, alongside Weeran’s field day for inspections of sale bulls being offered on 13th September.
Weeran Principals Alec and Jo Moore provide some land on their property at Byaduk for the vertically integrated national seed wholesaler to demonstrate grasses, cereals and clover varieties in the area. The site demonstrates perennial pastures including fescue, annual and short term ryegrasses along with cereals and clovers, to show their suitability to the Hamilton district. It gives farmers the opportunity to see 60 different varieties in one place.
The Upper Murray Seeds field day kicks off at 10am at Weerangourt at the trial site. Morning Tea and Lunch are both included, sponsored by the Commonwealth Bank. The ANZAC dairy discussion group will also be in attendance. Everyone is welcome to attend.
