Our current Assistant Manager, Tim Wright, who has been a key member of our team for the last four years, is returning home to develop his own farming operation. This leaves an opportunity at Weeran Angus for an experienced Stockperson.
Weeran Angus is a highly regarded quality Angus seedstock producer, additionally running significant prime lamb and a small amount of cropping for own use. Working in a great team environment, you will be involved with all aspects of cattle and sheep stock work, machinery operation and general property and plant maintenance.
To be considered for this role, it would be an advantage to be:
– Honest, loyal and hard working
– Experienced and capable of working as part of a team
– Excellent people and communication skills
– Previous experience working with cattle and sheep
– Interested in Seedstock and genetics
– Experience operating and maintaining machinery
– Welding experience and your own working dogs would be an added advantage
This role will suit you if you want to take your on-farm career seriously and would like to develop some further skills.
An excellent three bedroom home, plus office will be provided alongside a negotiated salary. Hamilton school bus picks up at the front gate, and there are lots of opportunities to be involved in the local community.
