50 years of breeding, 25 years of bull sales, over 1,500 bulls sold and 300,000 progeny produced! A contribution to the Beef Industry that Weeran Angus Principals, Alec and Jo Moore, are very proud of.

Weeran Angus will hold their 25th Autumn Bull Sale on Wednesday 25th February at 3pm. As a family, they have been selling leading Angus genetics across the country for 25 autumn sales and 8 spring sales.

Weeran Angus is going from strength to strength and they are constantly improving the program to stay relevant to the industry’s needs. One of Australia’s leading feedlots, Rangers Valley, has been purchasing Weeran steers for the last 16 consecutive years. A fantastic result in a very competitive marketplace, and a working relationship we appreciate very much. The Weeran genetics are proving themselves time and time again in the feedlot market.

To celebrate Weeran’s 25 years of service to the industry, they are offering both autumn and spring drop bulls for this sale. On offer will be 6 autumn bulls and 68 spring drop bulls. The main sires dominating this year’s line up are TC Franklin 619 with 17 sons selling, Booroomooka Frankel F510 with 12 sons selling and Connealy KW 1664 Consensus with 7 sons selling. These bulls have all performed very well, and in particular Franklin for producing cattle of excellent type, balance and performance figures. He is an outstanding calving ease bull.

One of the highlights, is Weeran Joel VHWJ13, and like his namesake Joel Selwood, he is a true champion! Joel is an Ayrvale Bartel E7 son who has excellent phenotype plus performance numbers backed by 50K genomic testing, which all indicates a top percentile performing bull in all areas.
